Q: How to pick a ball?
A: Use a ball that weighs close to 1/10 of your body weight. If you weigh 100, lbs. use a 10lb ball. Your thumb should go all the way into the ball for a good fit. The center staff will assist you in ball selection and will get the 6 lb. ball for the young.
Q: How many games do I want to bowl?
A: That is up to you. Brunswick centers offer per game and time bowling. When your lane is assigned the counter staff may ask this question and may request you pre-pay for your bowling. Of course any un-used games or time will be refunded to you. And of course you can always add on to your bowling experience. A general rule is 3 games per person over 10 and 2 games for 10 and younger. For time bowling a family or group will have a very enjoyable experience on a two hour package.
Q: Do you have bumpers?
A: Yes, all Brunswick centers have this wonderful aid for children to learn and enjoy bowling. Bumpers are guards in the gutter that insures the ball makes it to the pins.
Q: Can adults bowl with the kids at a birthday party?
A: Yes – it is our experience though it works best to have two adjoining lanes, one for the kids, one for the adults.
